STORE HISTORY

Sunglass City prides itself on providing their customers with name brands that have quality optical lenses as well as cutting edge style at competitive prices. We have a very knowledgeable staff and encourage our web customers to contact us for additional information concerning their sunglass purchase.

Between 2 partners and 4 employees, we have over 50 years of combined sunglass retail experience among us. We are located 20 minutes North of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, California, in the small town of San Anselmo. For directions, click here.

Our retail store opened in the summer of 1987 and has continually grown. As we have customers all over the United States and beyond, we realized we were bigger than our store and needed to expand to accommodate our customers. We heard from our out of state customers that there were not any sunglass stores like ours in their home towns. This motivated us to create our website in the Spring of 1999.

During the year 2000, our web site tripled in sales volume and grew ten fold in the number of visitors to our site. We feel fortunate to have expanded due to such a positive response and now have made friends all over the world.
